Lomita Bail Bonds

The area known today as the City of Lomita has had a great deal of history that’s brought it to where it is today. In the 1930’s this quiet corner of Los Angeles County became known as a booming farming area for fruits, vegetables, and eggs, where celery and strawberry production was their worldwide claim to fame.
In early 1935, Frank A. Gumm, a vaudevillian from Grand Rapids, MI rented the Lomita Theater, for his named Mary Jane, Dorothy Virginia, and Judy, who later changed her name to Judy Garland, to sing and dance and entertain the community.

For years there were boundary disputes, but today it is clear where Lomita is located. As part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department the Lomita Station provides law enforcement for Lomita, along with the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and western area of Los Angeles County to the Pacific Ocean. These areas include; Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, La Rambla, Westfield and the Estates.

Lomita Station & Jail Information
When someone you know is arrested in the Lomita Station’s jurisdiction, they will be taken to the station for booking. If they have any medical problems they will be transferred to an LA County Jail almost immediately, where they can receive the proper care. Otherwise they will be held here until they are arraigned, which could be two day for a felony charge, or one day for a misdemeanor charge. Overall, if we can get the bail process started before anyone is transferred, it’s to everyone’s advantage. The booking process typically takes a several hours and the bail process usually between 15 minutes to one hour.

Parking is not a problem in the lot right outside the building, and there is a lobby where you can wait for your friend or family member to be released from custody.
