Lakewood Bail Bonds

Lakewood Station & Jail Information
The City of Lakewood has a police department that handles the law enforcement of traffic violations, general and traffic law enforcement, along with crime investigation and Special Assignment Officers. At the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Lakewood Station, located next to the old Post Office and Civic Center, and across the street from Best Buy, all arrestees will be taken here for the booking process. Since the Lakewood Station also provides law enforcement services to Artesia, Bellflower, Hawaiian Gardens, and Paramount, along with Cerritos, the jail can be a bit overcrowded at times. In fact, they recently remodeled the facility to handle a greater volume of arrestees, but there are times when it may be necessary to transfer inmates to larger jail facilities in the county, where the bail process could take as long as a day or more, so that’s even more reason to start the bail process as early as possible. On average, it can take between one and two hours for the release of an inmate, after we post the bond.

Once we post a bond, the release process should take no longer than 1 to 2 hours. This process, however, could take longer because Lakewood supports so many surrounding cities, which can increase the inmate traffic at any given time. There is a lobby area for you to wait for the inmate will be released. Also, parking at the Lakewood Station is adequate and should not pose a problem.
