East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station & Jail Information
When someone is arrested in East Los Angeles, or in the adjacent City of Commerce, they are taken directly to the East Los Angeles Station Jail for booking. It is not unusual, however, for inmates to be transferred to larger county jails, where the bail process could take a day or more, so getting the bail process started early is crucial to your loved one being released from the East Los Angeles Jail in a shorter period of time.The lobby is open to the public 24 hours a day and is where you can wait for your loved one to be released. When you arrive at the jail, check in at the “security window” and explain why you are there. The inmate will be released through the lobby. Once we have posted the bail bond the release process typically takes about 30 minutes.
You’ll find moderate parking available by the jail, so at certain times during the day, you may need to park near the building not in the actual jail parking lot.

From CA-60 Freeway West: Take EXIT 4/Atlantic Blvd exit and make a left onto S Atlantic Blvd and a right onto Pomona Blvd. Pomona Blvd becomes E 3rd St. 5019 E 3RD ST is on the left.
From CA-60 Freeway East: Take EXIT 4/Atlantic Blvd exit and make a right onto S Atlantic Blvd and a right onto Pomona Blvd. which becomes E 3rd St. 5019 E 3RD ST is on the left.
