The city of Compton lies in the center of Los Angeles County and was established around 1867 by a small group of settlers looking to make a living without the need to pan for gold. It was finally incorporated in May of 1888.The Compton Station doesn’t have a jail facility at their location, so those arrested are automatically taken to the Century Sheriff’s Station at 11703 South Alameda Street in Lynwood, which books both men and woman, and holds them until their court appearance unless they are bailed out prior to that date.
The Century Sheriff’s Station is about 10 minutes from the Compton Station; all arrestees are taken directly to the Station after they are arrested. Here they will do all the booking paperwork, fingerprinting, mug shot and background check. As soon as this is completed, our Bail Agents can get all the necessary information about the defendant, at no cost to you, to start the bail process and get the arrestee released as quickly as possible, before they are transferred to another facility.

The Century Sheriff’s Station is located at 11703 South Alameda Street in Lynwood. It’s right off the 105 Freeway or Imperial Highway, which runs parallel to the 105, at that point and directly adjacent to the Century Regional Detention Facility for Women, better known as the Lynwood Jail.
From the 105 E Freeway: Exit at the Wilmington Ave/Exit 10 off ramp. Take the Imperial Hwy East ramp toward I-105 West. Turn slight right onto E Imperial Hwy. Turn right onto S Alameda St. The Century Sheriff’s Station will be on the right.
From the 105 W Freeway: Take EXIT 10 toward Wilmington Ave. Turn right onto E Imperial Hwy. Take the 2nd right onto S Alameda St. The Century Sheriff’s Station will be on the right.
