Cerritos Bail Bonds
Cerritos Sheriff’s Station & Jail Information
The public can enter the Cerritos Station building on the 2nd floor of the facility, through a beautiful sky lighted lobby. Today this location has 58 sworn in police officers and 20 civilian employees at this station. The jail has an 18-bed jail for holding inmates only until the booking process has been completed. The jail is open from 2 pm to 12 midnight daily, if a jailer is on duty, where they will complete the booking process and then transfer all inmates to the Lakewood Station by midnight. If Cerritos doesn’t have a jailer on duty that day, all arrestees will go directly to the Lakewood Station at 5130 N. Clark Avenue in Lakewood for booking. So, if an inmate is not bailed out of the Cerritos Station, the bond will need to be posted at the Lakewood Station. The Cerritos Police Department contracted with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in 1956 to help with the handling of arrests in their city.
The Cerritos Station also works closely with the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station when they have a crime being reported. The Lakewood Sheriff’s Department patrols the area to ensure the public’s safety. The only services that are handled by the Cerritos Station are usually traffic violations, home security checks while residents are on vacation, and other than crime-related fingerprinting. If you know someone who has been arrested in Cerritos, they will be booked and housed at the jail in Lakewood until their court appearance unless you bail them out. The booking process at the Lakewood Station typically takes about 2 hours from start to finish, when someone is going to be bailed out of this jail, normally from the time we give them our paperwork, it will take between 1-2 hours for the jail to release the person in custody.
Both the Cerritos Sheriff’s Station and the Lakewood Station operate on a 24/7 schedule, with inmate information available by calling a Premiere Bail Agent, at no cost to you. Our Bail Agents have access to inmate booking records anywhere in the state of California, and can easily provide you with all the details of an arrest, and the amount of the bail that has been set forth by the court. All they need is the defendant’s full legal name and birth date.
