Baldwin Park Bail Bonds

Baldwin Park Police Department & Jail Information

The Baldwin Park Police Department has a low volume of arrestees with an average of about 5-6 arrests per day. The exception to this number is when they perform DUI checkpoints. When operating a checkpoint, they may have up to 20 arrests in one night. If someone is arrested, the Baldwin Park Police normally take about an hour to book someone into the jail. Typically, the booking process takes approximately 3 hours at other city jails, so knowing that Baldwin Park can book an arrestee so quickly, makes the bail process simple and easy to get them released from custody once we post the bail bond. You should note that if the systems are down, which sometimes can happen, it may take up to several hours to book someone, but this is not usually the norm.

When you get to the jail you will find ample public parking directly in front of the building. During regular business hours the public is allowed into the lobby, which is very small with just enough room for about 10 people. After 6 p.m. the lobby closes and the public is no longer allowed inside, however, our bail agents are still allowed in to post a bond at anytime of the day or night. We contact them by using the red phone located to the right of the jail doors. The front desk will allow us access so we can submit our forms and present a copy of our bail license. Then, once they have accepted the forms, we are required to leave the building and wait outside for the release of the person in custody. Normally the entire release process takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes, once bail has been posted.

Pay-to-Stay Program

The Baldwin Park Police Department provides a Pay-To-Stay Program for inmates charged with misdemeanors. This program is fee-based and available to qualified men and women who have been convicted and sentenced. The program allows inmates to avoid serving their time in a County Jail, at the expense of the applicant, with the sentencing courts permission. The Pay-To-Stay Program offers inmates the opportunity to work or attend school while serving their sentence at night and/or on weekends. Checkout and check-in times are established based on the individual’s sentence.
